The Photonic Technology Centre (PTC) was set up in 2006 and is attached to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

PTC is actively making effort in R&D to successfully come up with optical communication devices based on polymer technology as well as MEMS.
